Several months ago I was at the Bahrain Grand Prix. I took lots of photos and a couple of videos with my Canon G7. Then I went and posted one of my clips on YouTube, as one might do with such clips.
A few days ago I get this email from YouTube notifying me that the said clip has been removed. Here is what the email said: "This is to notify you that we have removed or disabled access to the following material as a result of a third-party notification by Formula One Management claiming that this material is infringing" Eh! WTF, seriously!
Has anyone else had similar problems? Or are these people simply being asses?

Yep, theyre being asses. I think somewhere on the back of your ticket its supposed to mention something about copyright infringement and video recording etc. But seriously, my assumption is you didn't video the whole race from start to end, and whatever you DID film will actually make others stop paying for the real F1 footage.

My sister had a similar problem with Youtube...she posted a video containing some sport clips, i guess the channel or the company saw it and notified Youtube about it, so it was rmoved! Although in our case it's probably an infringement!
I'm not sure yours was though, it was just a public thing and you even used your own camera! I don't know, those F1 Managers must be really freaked out about what they're doing! I mean it's not like F1 is a top secret project or something...
By the way, I've been meaning to send you an email for a while now, but I can't find your email anywhere on your webpage or blog...I wonder if I could know on which address I could send my email on, please?
It was only 30 seconds long! how could that have affected anything I dont know! It's absurd.
